CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Upper-level high pressure finally is beginning to shift north a little and break down.
This will open the door for some tropical moisture to approach from the southeast and bring some (but not enough) badly-needed rain to the area, and, in the process, tame our scorching hot temperatures to at or slightly below normal seasonal levels.
Tonight will be mostly clear and quiet with a low of 76.
Wednesday will be mostly sunny with a light breeze and still hot with a high of 97. Wednesday night, expect a tranquil night, but mostly cloudy, warm and stuffy with a low of 77.
Thursday we will have lots of sun but generally light winds and not quite as hot with a high of 95.
The tropics are unusually quiet. Stay tuned.
