CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A strong cold front racing through South Texas late today brought isolated to widely scattered showers before sweeping warm and humid air from the Coastal Bend.

Windy and much colder conditions will dictate warm layers as Monday morning attire.

Expect chilly nights and mild afternoons all week.

While the mercury hit the lower 80s this afternoon, by daybreak Monday readings will be near 40 with wind chill values in the lower 30s.

Continued infusion of polar air will maintain below normal temperatures through the work week.

The next chance for rain will be Friday night and Saturday, with another cold front moving through the area.

Highs will be in the 60s and lower 70s, except upper 50s Monday and again on Wednesday.

Lows will remain in the 30s and 40s, except middle 50s Saturday morning.
