CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — With upper-level high pressure centered well to our west, our surface winds are resulting in a more tropical weather pattern for South Texas.

This means we will see some more-needed rainfall over the next week outside of this Sunday.

Dorian is a serious and dangerous hurricane for the Bahamas and Florida, but is no threat here.

Tonight we will have coastal showers develop after midnight, with a low of 76.

Saturday expect scattered showers near the coast in the morning gradually working inland during the afternoon with generally light winds; still hot and humid outside of the rainy areas, with a high of 95.

Saturday night will be tranquil with clear skies, and a low of 75.

Sunday, expect sunny skies, light winds dry and blazing hot again with a high of 97.

Expect isolated sea breeze showers on Monday.Enjoy the holiday weekend.
