CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Here’s the latest on what is now Tropical Storm Barry from KRIS meteorologist Maclovio Perez.
All eyes are on the Gulf of Mexico as Barry is forecast to ramp up to hurricane speed today.
And it’s forecast to come ashore as a Category 1 hurricane on Saturday morning in Louisiana.
East Texas will get some of the rain associated with Barry, but Louisiana will bear the brunt of the storm.
Here in the Coastal Bend, we’ll stay on the hot and humid side of things. A few stray showers may drift down from the Houston area for the next few days, but don’t expect any significant totals.
