CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Here’s the latest in our continuing coverage of Tropical Storm Barry.

It’s still churning the gulf as millions brace for its impact.

Meteorologist Maclovio Perez joins us live from our community set at La Palmera Mall with the latest:

Tropical Storm Barry starts its path over the Central Gulf Coast. Most of eastern Louisiana will bear the brunt of the torrential rain and flooding over the weekend.

The Coastal Bend will see a few effects of the storm mostly over the east facing beaches. Look for rough seas, bigger surf and a strong rip current over the weekend.

Otherwise, we are looking at a predictable hot and humid streak with highs staying in the mid-90s and lows near 80.
