CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Upper-level high pressure will move back over the area and dominate our weather with little to no rainfall, blazing hot temperatures, and moderate afternoon winds, driving our heat index to dangerous levels each afternoon. Fear not though, as it does appear that the first cold front of the season will arrive within the next two weeks.

Tonight will be mainly clear a little breezy, warm and stuffy with a low of 79.

Saturday expect it to be hazy hot and humid with mostly sunny skies and a high of 97 and a heat index up to 116.

Saturday night will be warm and sticky with mostly clear skies and a low of 78.

Sunday more high heat with lots of sunshine but a bit more breezy during the afternoon and a high of 96 with a heat index once again up to 116.

Stay cool and take care of your pets.
