CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — By far the coldest weather of the season has invaded the Coastal Bend. Temperatures will approach freezing in northern parts of the area (northern counties) Tuesday night. A slow warming trend will result in lots of clouds this week and a little rain on Thursday with a weak cold front.
Tonight will be blustery and much colder with light rain likely and a low of 36 and wind chills in the 20's.
Tuesday the good news is that the light rain will end in the morning with some sleet in our northern counties and an unseasonably cold high of only 44. We will have partial clearing late in the day and overnight with resulting in the coldest night since last February with a low of 34 and a light freeze (32 degrees) in our northern counties with decreasing winds but wind chills still in the 20's.
Wednesday becoming cloudy again with patchy light rain developing late in the day and a high of only near 50.
