CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Many residents across Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend remain without power at this hour.
To get an update on what’s in store, KRIS 6 News anchor Javier Guerra interviewed AEP spokesman Omar Lopez for the latest news.
Lopez told Guerra when can crews start repairing lines, an assessment of restoration times and advice for students in this interview.
And a final look at the AEP outage map this morning shows that almost 26,000 people in Nueces County remain without power.
The next largest outage countywise is in San Patricio County where there are almost 3,200 AEP customers without people.
AEP tells us they will work quickly to make repairs, although if sustained winds reach 35 mph, they will shelter their employees in place for their safety.
