CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A tropical wave will arrive from the Gulf on Saturday with a decent opportunity for rain as we start the Holiday weekend.

The system will work inland by Saturday night and it will dry out and heat up again on Sunday and Labor Day.

Tonight expect quiet weather until after midnight when coastal showers will develop and move slowly inland with a low of 76.

Saturday we will have lots of clouds and very little sunshine with numerous thundershowers some with locally heavy rain and a high of only 88.

Saturday night expect a stray coastal shower. Otherwise fair skies, nearly calm and quiet with a more seasonal low of 73.

Sunday we will have light winds a mix of clouds and sunshine and hotter with a high of 93.

On Labor Day, expect considerable sunshine light winds and a high a little hotter at 94.

Have a safe and enjoyable Holiday weekend.
