CORPUS CHRISTI – We are going to be ending our weekend more very hot and humid weather conditions. The heat index values will range from 105 to 109 degrees this afternoon. That means people should use extreme caution when spending extended periods of time outdoors. The forecast for today calls for mostly sunny skies with an afternoon high around 94 degrees. Expect light winds out of the southeast at 10 to 15 miles per hour. Tonight we can expect partly cloudy skies with an overnight low around 77 degrees.
The forecast for the work week calls for increasing moisture. We will see a slight chance of showers on Monday afternoon. However, more widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected on Tuesday and Wednesday. There is the potential for some very heavy rainfall at times. This will also cool our temperatures into the 80’s midweek. The hot and dry weather conditions will return as we get closer to next weekend.
