Windy and Cooler Tonight

and last updated

CORPUS CHRISTI – We had a strong cold front that moved through South Texas this afternoon. This brought us winds gusting between 40 and 45 miles per hour. A wind advisory has been issued through 10 pm tonight. A small craft advisory is in place through lunchtime tomorrow. We also had some patchy light rain and fog this morning before the frontal passage. However, much drier and cooler air is now moving in. The forecast for tonight calls for mostly clear skies along with breezy and cooler conditions. Look for an overnight low around 53 degrees with the winds blowing from the northwest at 15 to 25 miles per hour.

The winds will start to taper off Sunday afternoon. We will also see abundant sunshine for the end to the weekend along with a daytime high around 78 degrees. It will remain sunny and nice for the first part of the workweek. Daytime highs will be in the low to mid 80’s. Another frontal boundary could bring us another chance of rain Wednesday night into early Thursday morning.
