An unstable atmosphere caused by an upper level disturbance passing overhead brought rain to much of the Coastal Bend on Thursday is pushing off to the east bringing a slightly drier and more stable atmosphere to the region for the weekend. Temperatures will also continue to warm up through early next week.

Tonight expect occasional showers damp and cool with areas of dense fog forming after midnight and  a low of 58.

Friday will be much drier and a little warmer with light winds and only a little sunshine otherwise mostly cloudy and a high of 72.

Friday night expect more fog nearly calm damp and cool with a low of 59.

Saturday expect light winds again mostly cloudy with only a stray shower and a high of 73.

Super bowl Sunday will be mostly cloudy with highs in the 70’s.
