CORPUS CHRISTI – It was definitely a very windy start to our holiday weekend here in the Coastal Bend with a strong cold front rolling through the area early this morning, Our peak wind gust was around 45 miles per hour this afternoon. There were also a few light rain showers with the frontal passage. A small craft advisory is in effect through midnight. However, the wind should start winding down a bit over the next few hours. The forecast for tonight calls for mostly clear and cold weather conditions. Look for an overnight low around 37 degrees. The wind chill temperatures will feel like the upper 20’s.

We will see some beautiful weather for Sunday. Expect abundant sunshine with a daytime high around 58 degrees. Look for warmer weather and a few more clouds for the holiday on Monday. Temperatures will be in the upper 60’s. Look for temperatures in the mid 70’s on Tuesday. Another strong cold front will arrive early Wednesday morning. This will lead to another big cool down with some cloudy and wet weather conditions midweek.
