Muggy, mild & foggy night ahead

After seeing some very nice sunshine over the weekend, some low level moisture off the Gulf of Mexico and increasing cloudiness rolling in from the west will start to diminish our sunny days and lead to more cloud coverage.

Dewpoints have been steadily rising throughout the day today and that will lead to a humid and mild night with some dense patchy fog dropping visibility down to 0-3 miles for many of us.  Overnight lows are only forecast to drop into the lower 60s.  The normal temperature, for overnight lows, for this time of year is 47!

Commuters are urged to use caution in the fog and allow extra time to arrive to destinations safely.

A weak front will stall in Central Texas tomorrow and may throw one or two rogue sprinkles in the area, but for the most part the cloudy skies will prevail along with above normal high temperatures.  We’ll call for the middle 70s.  Winds: SSE 7-14MPH

Much of the same is in store for Tuesday; starting off with some morning fog and cloudy, humid and mild temperatures.  We’ll see a little more in the way of some drizzle as another cold front arrives late Tuesday and on into Wednesday morning.

Showers will accompany frontal passage, but not expecting large rainfall amounts.  Only a few tenths at best.

Highs will remain in the upper 60s, near normal, for the remainder of the week and we don’t clear out Wednesday afternoon through Friday.  In fact, Friday looks like the wettest day in terms on rainfall as another cold front approaches from the north and sets off some showers and thundershowers along and ahead of the boundary.  We’ll look for the heaviest and likely rain just north of the Coastal Bend near the Victoria Crossroads, but we should see a few good downpours once the boundary arrives early Saturday morning.

Highs on Saturday will drop to the middle 60s and by Sunday morning we’ll be back in the mid-40s with low 60s for highs next Sunday afternoon still under a decent amount of cloud coverage.

Have a great week!
