CORPUS CHRISTI – It’s going to be a cloudy and cold end to our weekend here in the Coastal Bend. Temperatures are not going to warm up much this afternoon. We are only looking for a daytime high in the upper 40’s with some patchy light rain. Winds will be a bit lighter out of north blowing at 5 to 10 miles per hour. Tonight we will see another weak front start to push a lot of this moisture out of South Texas. There is a chance for a few thunderstorms to develop with the frontal passage.
Our temperatures are going to rebound pretty nicely on Monday. The forecast calls for a mixture of sunshine and clouds with a daytime high in the mid 60’s. We can still expect some pretty chilly weather for New Year’s Eve. The overnight lows will be in the mid 40’s. The next front will arrive early Tuesday. However, we should still see a daytime high in the lower 60’s on New Years Day. A surge of colder air will move in midweek. The overnight low temperatures will drop into the mid 30’s both Thursday and Friday mornings.
