CORPUS CHRISTI – It’s not going to be a great weekend to spend a lot of time outdoors. It will continue to be cloudy and cool with patchy light rain developing. It will also be rather breezy with the winds blowing out of the northeast at 15 to 20 miles per hour. Daytime highs will remain in the lower 50’s. The forecast for tonight calls for mostly cloudy skies with a few showers possible. Look for an overnight low around 42 degrees. Similar weather conditions are expected again on Sunday. The forecast for tomorrow calls for daytime high around 51 degrees.

A little warmer and drier weather is expected on Monday. Temperatures should jump into the mid 60’s. However, it is going to be cold again on New Year’s Eve. Expect temperatures in the mid 40’s Monday night. New Year’s Day will bring a mixture of sunshine and clouds with an afternoon high around 60 degrees. Another surge of cold air will arrive for the middle part of the week. Daytime highs for most of the week will be in the 50’s and 60’s with overnight lows dropping into the mid 30’s Thursday and Friday mornings.
