CORPUS CHRISTI-It’s going to be a warm and breezy weekend here in the Coastal Bend. A few isolated showers have also popped up around the area this morning. The forecast for today calls for partly sunny skies with an afternoon high near 90 degrees. The winds will be blowing out of the southeast at 10 to 20 miles per hour. A Coastal Flood Advisory is still effect. That means we will continue with the high tides and water up to or near the dunes. We will also see some pretty rough surf with a moderate risk of rip currents. The forecast for tonight calls for mostly cloudy skies with an overnight low around 78 degrees. Tomorrow will be warm and breezy again with a daytime high around 90 degrees.

A big change in our weather will be coming on Monday. A very strong cold front will be rolling through. This will produce widespread showers and thunderstorms. The temperatures will drop off rapidly as the front arrives. Look for a daytime high only in the upper 50’s on Tuesday. It will remain cold and wet for much of the workweek. We will see a gradual warming trend as we get closer to next weekend.
