CORPUS CHRISTI – It looks like it is going to be a pleasant end to our weekend here in the Coastal Bend. We will see a mixture of sunshine and clouds with a few isolated showers possible. It will also continue to be rather hot and humid with the winds picking up this afternoon. The forecast calls for a daytime high around 89 degrees with the winds blowing out of the southeast at 10 to 20 miles per hour. Tonight we can expect mostly cloudy skies with a few showers possible. We will see an overnight low around 75 degrees.

We will see increasing rain chances for first half of the workweek. The best chance for more widespread rain will be on Tuesday and Wednesday. A front will move through Wednesday night that should bring us some drier air for the latter half of the week. We are also watching our newest tropical depression that is likely to move into the Gulf tomorrow. This storm will likely move onshore near the Florida panhandle midweek. We could see some minor coastal flooding and increased swell as the storm moves through Gulf.
