The rainfall was less in coverage across South Texas today, but there were still some decent downpours over the area where doppler radar estimates anywhere from a quarter to three quarters of an inch of rain fell. Officially out at Corpus Christi International there was no rainfall reported.

Upper-level high pressure will continue to influence our weather pattern for the next couple of days.  It is not a dominant high and it has some subtle weaknesses, so we will still be susceptible to daily stray rainfall chances through the end of the week given the moisture that is streaming in off the Gulf of Mexico.

Expect afternoon highs to be steamy and hot with low 90s expected under mainly sunny to partly cloudy skies and those few passing showers.  Mosquitoes will love the environment, but residents should have plenty of water nearby if working outdoors.

A large upper-level disturbance will begin to dig into the 4-Corners area closer to the weekend and that will increase southeasterly winds here beginning Saturday with more wind expected on Sunday and Monday.  Given the extra wind, moisture levels will climb and lead to isolated showers on Monday and scattered showers on Tuesday as a few disturbances round the base of the low and move towards South Texas.

Into the tropics, Rosa has been downgraded to remnants.  Tropical Storm Leslie continues in the north-central Atlantic and the NHC has identified a new area of disturbed weather in the southern Caribbean.  Chance of development remains low the next couple of days as environmental conditions are limited for intensification.
