Corpus Christi-It should be a pretty decent holiday weekend here in the Coastal Bend. However, isolated showers and thunderstorms will also be in the area today as abundant tropical moisture continues to move into South Texas. It will be a bit warmer than yesterday. The forecast for this afternoon calls for partly sunny skies with an afternoon high around 93 degrees. Expect a few showers to develop. The winds will be light out of the southeast st 10 to 15 miles per hour. We will see similar weather conditions both Sunday and Labor Day.
The forecast gets a bit tricky next week. A tropical wave will move into the Gulf next Tuesday. It will likely have the biggest impact on the Southeastern United States. However, it could also increase our rain chances for much of next week. The daytime highs will be in the lower 90’s with overnight lows in the mid 70’s.
