CORPUS CHRISTI-It’s going to be a hot end to the weekend here in Coastal Bend. A Heat Advisory has been issued for both Nueces and Kleberg counties from 11 am through 5 pm. That means will see heat index values between 110 and 114 degrees this afternoon. People are urged to use extreme caution when spending extended periods of time outdoors. The forecast for today calls for abundant sunshine with an actual daytime high around 96 degrees. The winds will pick up out of the southeast at 10 to 15 miles per hour. Tonight we can expect mostly clear skies with an overnight low around 76 degrees.
We will see an increase in moisture as we move into the week ahead. This will lead to more hot and humid weather conditions with isolated showers in the latter half of the workweek. Daytime highs will continue in the mid 90’s. Overnight lows will be in the mid to upper 70’s.
