CORPUS CHRISTI-It has been a hot and breezy start to our weekend here in the Coastal Bend. We made it up to 96 degrees this afternoon. High pressure will start to shift to our east the next few days. This will open up the gulf to bring in a bit more moisture for the week ahead. This means it is going to be a bit more humid with a chance of isolated showers each afternoon.

The forecast for tonight calls for partly cloudy skies and mild conditions with an overnight low around 76 degrees. Tomorrow we can expect mostly sunny skies with a daytime high around 95 degrees. The winds will pick up in the afternoon from the southeast at 10 to 15 miles per hour. We will remain in a rather quiet weather pattern for much of next week. Look for daytime highs in the mid 90’s with overnight lows in the mid to upper 70’s. There will be a slight chance for showers each afternoon. Heat index values will range from 100 to 110 degrees.
