It was a hot start to our weekend here in the Coastal Bend. We made it up to 96 degrees again this afternoon. The forecast for tonight calls for mostly clear skies with an overnight low around 77 degrees. High pressure will continue to dominate our weather for the next several days. This means there is little chance for rain. Heat index values will range from 105 to 109 degrees. The winds are going to pick up a bit for the end to the weekend. The forecast for Sunday calls for abundant sunshine with an afternoon high again in the mid 90’s. The winds will pick up out of the southeast in the afternoon blowing from the southeast at 15 to 20 miles per hour.

The weather should remain pretty quiet for much of the week ahead. A weak front will move into Central Texas midweek. This will give us a very slight chance of showers on Wednesday. We will also look for another chance of wet weather as we move into next weekend. Daytime highs will be in the mid 90’s with overnight low’s in the mid to upper 70’s.
