CORPUS CHRISTI – It looks like we are going to start our weekend with some scattered showers and thunderstorms. Some of these storms may produce some brief heavy rain. We have already seen some very heavy rainfall in western portions of Nueces and San Patricio Counties. The increase in cloud cover will help to keep our temperatures a bit cooler than we have seen the past few days. Our forecast for today calls for a daytime high of 92 degrees with the winds out of the southeast at 10 to 15 miles per hour. Tonight we can expect mostly cloudy skies with a few lingering showers. We will see an overnight low around 77 degrees.
The winds will be picking up on Sunday afternoon. This should limit the amount of showers that develop. The forecast for tomorrow calls for partly sunny skies with a daytime high around 93 degrees. The winds will be blowing out of the southeast at 10 to 20 miles per hour. We will return to the hot and dry weather conditions for much of the workweek ahead. Daytime highs will be in the mid 90’s. We could see a few isolated showers develop on Tuesday.
