Very dry air at all levels of the atmosphere has moved into the Coastal Bend. A light northerly flow aloft has resulted in light surface winds which will lead to below normal overnight lows but slightly above normal daytime highs. As a weak cold front approaches next week (very unusual for this time of year) this will result in at least isolated showers for the area Tuesday and Wednesday.

Tonight expect moonlit skies tranquil and a low of 72.

Thursday will be hazy sunny dry and very hot with a high of 95 with light winds.

Thursday night  will be clear nearly calm and pleasant with a l low of 73.

Friday only a stray shower otherwise mostly sunny hot and dry with a high of 94.

The tropics are quiet.
