Looks like rain for the 4th of July! The tropical weather system in the Gulf will spread showers and thundershowers into the Coastal Bend this afternoon and evening. Already Houston has had flooding rains today and that system will be moving south during the day. Showers will begin this afternoon with heavy thundershowers expected by tonight. We may see flooding around the area by Thursday morning. Heavy rain will begin to weaken by Friday. Total 3 day event may see 2 – 4 inches of rain.
