UPDATE: Officers have cleared the area after it was determined that the suspicious package was not a threat.
Officers from the Portland and Corpus Christi Police Departments are responding to a report of a suspicious package at a Portland shopping center.
Portland PD says roads are blocked off in the are around the Crescent Shopping Center in Portland after a report of a suspicious package found on a dumpster at 1021 U.S. Highway 181 in Portland .
Business at the shopping center and a nearby dry cleaner have been evacuated as a precaution while officers from the CCPD bomb squad investigate.
