The city’s drone camera takes viewers to an area that typical cameras can’t get to for some amazing footage.

Today’s release of flooding and fast release of the Nueces River at the Wesley E. Seale Dam provides another of those shots.

After a conference call earlier today, the city will increase the amount of water released at the Seale Dam. It will increase current flood levels in the Bluntzer area and around County Road 73, Hazel Bazemore Park and Labonte Park.

Residents in these areas are urged to take every precaution in preparing their property for additional water. The duration of this flooding event is expected to last for an extended period of time, city officials said.

The Fire Department’s AERO Team provided the footage that takes a viewer to the area without getting wet.
