Four local high school wrestlers are hoping to represent Corpus Christi at USA Wrestling’s 2018 U.S. Marine Corps Cadet/Junior National Championships in Fargo, North Dakota.
A competition that is known to recruit high school athletes and a chance to fight the best athletes in the nation.
Jackie Ghent and Daniel Leal are both wrestlers from Veterans Memorial H.S., Odelia Lopez is from Ray H.S., and Joey Ortiz wrestles at Miller H.S. These four wrestlers have qualified for the Texas national team and will be competing at this big competition. But, they need the community’s help in getting there.
