You can expect some tropical showers to develop over the region today as a surge of moisture rolls in from the Gulf. This is associated with a weak tropical wave moving through. Some of you will see heavy thundershowers with significant rainfall of 1-2 inches. The showers will continue overnight and decrease by late Wednesday. The good news is that most of the rain will decrease for the 4th of July . In fact, mostly sunny skies with warm and humid conditions are expected for the long holiday weekend.
