KINGSVILLE, Texas — A Tuloso Midway alumnus has been recognized as one of two 2018-2019 Javelina Scholar Athletes.
According to Javelina Athletics, Madeleine Maltais was presented the award at the Texas A&M University Kingsville Hall of Fame ceremony in the Student Union Building last weekend.
This isn't the first time Maltais has been recognized for greatness. Earlier this year in April, she bested a professional athlete in Javelin throw. On top of that shehas a whole list of accomplishments, including President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, Vice President of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, 2017 Secretary for the American Society of Civil Engineers, and Ambassador for the Frank H. Dotterweich College of Engineering. She was also named to President’s List in 2016, 2017 and 2018, LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll in 2017 and 2018, 2018 LSC Outdoor Track & Field All-Academic, Member of the 2018 D2ADA team, and second place in javelin at the 2018 LSC Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
