FRISCO, Texas — Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones is showing some pressure from his team's unexpected 2-5 start to the 2020 season.

Jones had a terse exchange with a Dallas-Fort Worth radio host during Jones' weekly segment when asked if his struggling team has a leadership void.

The Cowboys' owner snapped during his appearance on his appearance with the Shan & R.J. Show on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas after one of the hosts attempted to clarify the question.

"Well, just shut up and let me answer," Jones said when interrupting host Shan Shariff, according to comments reported by the Dallas Morning News. "No (Jones doesn't see a leadership void)."

Shariff attempted to ask the question again about what Jones see when he walks into his team's locker room.

But Jones wasn't buying it.

"You're not asking me that," he said. "I gave you the answer. When I go into the locker room, there's no leadership void in my eyes. Now that's your answer. Let's move on."

Jones later apologized to the hosts about the testy exchange.

His frustration stems from his team's start as well as several Cowboys out with season-ending injuries. Among them are quarterback Dak Prescott, tackles Tyron Smith and La'el Collins and tight end Blake Jarwin. Roughly 40 percent of the Cowboys' salary cap is not on the field because of injuries.
