CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — There’s brand new artificial turf at West Oso’s Bear Stadium.
The district held a dedication ceremony Thursday night.
It’s all part of a $12 million bond which includes a lot of great facility improvements for the district.
These are really a dream for the district.
"It’s amazing what it does for the morale," said Pete Guajardo, West Oso's head football coach. "For the kids, it’s picks them up.
"As a coach, you really don’t have to go blow whistles and drag them out to a grass field. You say we’re fixing to practice and a lot of times the kids are already out here doing what they are supposed to do. It really helps us as coaches on that end of it."
