In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, another sports conference has announced the permanent cancellation of its spring athletic events.
The Lone Star Conference, which is the conference in which the Texas A&M-Kingsville Javelinas compete, announced Sunday morning that all spring sports would be canceled.

The conference now follows others nationwide around the country in canceling their spring athletic activities.
This announcement comes just a few days after the conference had suspended activity until the end of the month.
