CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men’s basketball team is playing very well right now.

The Islanders (4-5) have won four of their last five. Slowly but surely, they are finding their form.

And now they have a great opportunity to prove themselves when they head to Reid Arena in College Station Sunday afternoon to face Texas A&M (3-5).

“When you are playing the high major programs from the Power Five conferences. it is always a great opportunity,” Islanders coach Willis Wilson said. “The pressure is always on the home team even though they may have the advantage with the home crowd.

“Our kids going into that environment, I just want to see them play with freedom. Play with freedom play with aggression. We have a saying in our program err on the side of aggression and that means we want to take the action to our opponent.”

The Islanders and Aggies will tip off at 5 p.m. Sunday. The game will be on the SEC Network Plus. And we’ll also have the highlights on KRIS 6 News after Sunday Night Football.”
