In case you missed it last night, the Islanders women opened Southland Conference play with a 55-49 triumph over Nicholls State at the Dugan Center.
The Islanders are still down two starters, so the victory was an impressive one over adversity.
They have another home game at the Dugan Center Saturday afternoon against Central Arkansas. Tip off will be at 1 p.m.
