CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Islanders men's basketball team lost to Abilene Christian 78-64 on Saturday.
With the loss, the Islanders drop to 10-16. Their record is 6-9 in the Southland Conference.
The Islanders are currently in eighth place in the conference with a two-game lead in the win column over ninth place University of Incarnate Word. Only the top eight teams in the conference make the conference tournament.
Freshman Jordan Hairston led the way for the Islanders in scoring with 13 points.
The Islanders are off this Wednesday, but will travel to Beaumont to take on Lamar next Saturday.
