The Hooks continue their road trip and will begin their final series of the season’s first half today when they take on the Springfield Cardinals.
The Hooks are currently tied for first with the Midland Rockhounds in the Texas League South. Both teams currently hold a 32-33 record.
The Rockhounds begin a series today against the Texas League’s best team, the Arkansas Travelers.
The Hooks won the Texas League South in both halves of the 2018 season and will look to extend their streak with a good series this upcoming weekend.
The Springfield Cardinals are the last place team in the league with a 26-40 record and a lowly 5.17 ERA.
The Texas League South still remains up for grabs as the Frisco RoughRiders and the Amarillo Sod Poodles are each half a game back of the two first place clubs.
All teams in the South division are facing North division foes this weekend.
