It was a big day for some graduating football players at Miller High School on Saturday.
Three players signed to play at Iowa Wesleyan University, and this signing parade was held for the players and their families in the parking lot at Buccaneer Stadium.
The players tell us they're excited, but won't forget about their roots.
"We're still going to keep this brotherhood even as we leave to Iowa," said left tackle Jesse Esquivel.
"Once a buc, always a buc," added running back Marcell Davis.
"These three guys -- I mean, they're the epitomy of what hard work is and how hard work pays off," said Miller Head Football Coach Justen Evans. "I'm so proud of those guys."
The Miller football program has made great strides in the past two seasons, going from cellar-dwellers to one of the top teams in the district, and that's in part to hard work put in by these young men.
Our congratulations to them.
