GREGORY, Texas — You're not going to believe a wild kick from this weekend's Gregory-Portland girls' soccer game.
Sophomore Karlee Friebele scored an amazing 50-yard shot in the Ladycats' 3-1 triumph over Wimberley Friday night.
Friebele fired a high, looping shot that soared deep into Wimberley's territory. It made a huge bounce before skipping over the head of the unsuspecting Wimberley goal for an amazing 60-yard score.
It has to qualify as one of the most memorable goals so far in the young season.
