CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — First baseman Seth Beer of the Hooks was named today the Texas League Player of the Week.
Beer was on fire last week with a .583 batting average on 14 for 24 hitting with three homers.
He also scored 16 runs, plated eight RBI and even reached base four times on hit by pitches.
