Calallen’s A.J. Brown became the most recent Coastal Bend player to sign his national letter of intent.
Brown announced that he was signing with Harding University of Searcy, Ark., to play college football.
As you see, it was a very happy day for him, his coaches and teammates.
And why not? He’s been waiting on this day for a long time.
Brown enjoyed a remarkable career with the Wildcats. He was second all-time leading rusher in school history with 6,188 yards. He was also a scoring machine scoring 88 touchdown during his career.
He’s not big, but he always found a way to get it done.
Brown was originally slated to attend UT-Permian Basin. But Harding called and the Bisons’ running offense is a much better fit for his skills.
We wish him the best as he takes his talent to the next level.
