The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders’ tennis team is continuing its work, practicing hard today with the season soon approaching.
There are some high expectations for this team, as Islanders director of tennis Steve Moore says the team controls its destiny.
“They’ve got high expectations and high goals,” Moore said. “We challenge them to be great at four things they can control. Be a great teammate, a great hard worker, a great competitor and great at their body management discipline.
“If we just focus on those things we can control, then we can have a great season.”
The Islanders’ men’s and women’s teams kick their season off a week from Friday at Trinity University.
