Refugio quarterback Austin Ochoa’s monster game earned him this week’s Mike Shaw Toyota Friday Night Fever Gamechanger Award.

Ochoa had a huge performance to help the Bobcats cruise to a 49-14 triumph over Thorndale.

En route to the Bobcats’ seventh straight victory, Ochoa completed 11 of 16 passes for 171 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He also did an admirable job of managing Refugio’s offense to help them improve to 10-2 this season.

The victory boosts them into the Class 2A Division II regional semifinals against the Shiner Commanches. The game will be played at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Farris Stadium in San Antonio. We’ll be there to provide all of the  highlights.
