South Texas is the home of a new world record powerlifter. Meet 18 year old Andres Ramos. One year ago, he won the state powerlifting championship while attending Ingleside High School.
And here is he now, a college student still making a name for himself. He just returned from the International Powerlifting Federation World Championships in Canada, and he won the gold medal in the 130 pound class. Along the way he set a new world record in his weight class. A combined total of 1,230 pounds in the squat, bench press and dead lift.
