Athletes from South Texas competed in Corpus Christi on Saturday at Special Olympics’ Spring Games.
Despite the weather, more than 500 athletes from the South Texas area gathered to compete in a variety of track and field events over at Hornet Stadium.
Qualifying athletes will advance to next month’s statewide competition in Arlington.
This marks the 35th year for the spring games event in our area.
