ALICE, Texas — Alice City Manager Michael Esparza tells KRIS 6 News some Alice gas customers may be able to access their services later today or possibly overnight, after a break in a natural gas pipeline Monday left customers without gas service. CenterPoint will notify customers when they can turn on their gas.

Crews have been manually turning off gas to businesses and homes in Alice until lines can once again be properly pressurized. Several businesses have temporarily closed because they cannot get hot water to wash hands or dishes.

As for everyone else, they may not be able to turn on their gas until Wednesday or Thursday.
