The Greyhound Racetrack was jam-packed with people this morning, but they weren't there for the races.
Hundreds turned out for a free food distribution event in the parking lot.
It's one of several drive-thru food giveaways being held by the Coastal Bend Food Bank in partnership with Corpus Christi Produce.
The rain didn't dampen the spirit of the event.
Five-hundred boxes of fresh produce were given away in just about one hour.
