CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi Police are investigating a death that occurred early Friday morning on the 4000 block of Redwood.
Police arrived to the scene a little after 6 a.m. to find 24-year-old Leandro Flores had died of trauma sustained from a gunshot wound.
Officers were told the suspect and several others arrived at the victim's house. The victim came out to their vehicle and an argument ensued. The argument escalated, and the victim was shot.
The 16-year-old suspect then fled on foot, but later returned to the scene and was taken into custody.
