CORPUS CHRISTI, TX — A Canadian cold front made its way into the Coastal Bend late Friday, and its cool air mass was quickly overrun by warm, humid tropical air.

The scenario has made for cool temperatures, cloudy skies, and light rain.

Enough instability existed this afternoon for a round of thunderstorms initiated by a passing upper level disturbance.

After a mostly cloudy and cool night with a few lingering showers, expect warmer conditions for your Sunday with only isolated showers.

Upper level ridging takes over during the work week, with mostly sunny skies and very warm afternoons.

Another weak cold front moves into the area next Saturday, accompanied by isolated showers. Highs will be in the 80s, with lows around 70.
